Valentine’s Day Trophy 2023

Congratulations to Mark Bryan, Eileen Ritson and Pascal Mandegout on winning the Valentine’s Day Trophy. It was a lively and closely-fought competition with two teams finishing on 14 points. The winners were decided on shot difference with Phill Howard, Roy Ritson and Brian Jones losing out by only 5 shots.

2022-23 Winter League

This competition takes place over the course of the winter season, from November to March, using a set of indoor mats. All the top bowlers in the region travel to St Martial de Valette each Wednesday in an attempt to win the prestigious PLBC Shield. This year is no exception as nine elite bowlers took to the mat for the first round which started in dramatic fashion with two closely fought matches.

All smiles as the first match ends in a draw. Nothing can separate the two top class teams of Chris & Geoff and Bev & Pascal.
Only one point separated the two teams in the second match. Pat and Tonee finished just ahead of Margaret, Ron and Brian.

Summer 2022 AXA Competition

The competition is sponsored by David Atkins of AXA Assurance who have very generously sponsored us for many years. David has been a long term supporter of the Club. 

The finalists are Bev Jones and Pat Thomas together with Chris Kelly and Margaret Postlewaite. 

The AXA trophy was eventually won by Margaret and Chris in what turned out to be a very close and exciting match.

Finalists in our Summer AXA Competition which takes place over 9 weeks in July and August.
